Common questions about HyBlue™ AdBlue®
AdBlue® is the registered trademark for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) used in SCR systems. HyBlue™ is IOR’s branded AdBlue® product, manufactured to ISO 22241 specification. All three terms refer to the same product: a 32.5 percent aqueous urea solution used to reduce NOx emissions from diesel engines. AdBlue® is a trademark of Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V.
AdBlue® consumption is typically 3 to 5 percent of diesel consumption, though this varies by engine type and operating load. For example, a vehicle consuming 100L of diesel per day will typically consume up to 5L of AdBlue®. Contact our team for an accurate consumption estimate.
Using substandard or contaminated AdBlue® can cause crystallisation in your SCR system, damage sensors, and void your OEM warranty. HyBlue™ is ISO 22241 certified and batch-tested to ensure correct urea concentration.
Yes. IOR can coordinate diesel and AdBlue® deliveries. We also supply a combination diesel and AdBlue® self-bunded tank for sites that want to manage both products from a single infrastructure footprint.
AdBlue® should be stored in a cool, shaded location away from direct sunlight, ideally between -11°C and +25°C. It must be stored in dedicated containers. IOR can supply dedicated storage tanks and IBCs to ensure correct storage on your site.
