EROMANGA REFINERY
IOR began in Eromanga, far western Queensland, in 1984, refining locally produced crude from the Eromanga Basin.
Four decades later, the refinery remains a working part of IOR’s supply chain, producing Enersol® petroleum solvents for chemical manufacturers and Eromanga UMF, a low-particulate diesel for underground mining.

SPECIALISED DIESEL FOR UNDERGROUND MINING
Eromanga UMF
Eromanga UMF is a specialised fuel produced specifically for underground mining applications, matching equipment performance characteristics with low particulate emissions.
Reduced Particulate Output
Particulate contamination in underground mine atmospheres is a critical safety and compliance consideration. Eromanga UMF is formulated to reduce exhaust particulate output, helping operations manage diesel particulate matter (DPM) exposure levels and support ventilation system performance in enclosed mining environments.
Domestic Crude, Australian Refined
Eromanga UMF and Condensates is produced from locally extracted crude oil sourced directly from the Cooper Basin and Surat Basin. Refining domestically produced crude removes the supply chain complexity of import-dependent products and supports a genuinely sovereign pathway for specialised mining diesel.

Enersol® Solvents
Enersol® is IOR’s range of petroleum solvents, produced at the Eromanga Refinery and supplied in bulk to chemical manufacturers and industrial customers across Australia.
Sourced from locally refined crude and backed by IOR’s integrated logistics capability, Enersol® provides customers with a consistent, domestically produced solvent supply for use in cleaning compounds, industrial degreasers, drilling fluids, blending and specialty chemical formulations.
Enersol® Product Range
The Enersol® range includes Enersol® L, Enersol® M, Enersol® H and Enersol® HFK, giving customers access to light, medium and heavy solvent grades, as well as high flash kerosene.
Each grade supports different application requirements, from carrier fluids, paint applications and degreasing through to drilling mud base oils, road surfacing cutters, performance additives and high-flash industrial solvent use.
