Mini oil refineries The Microstill™ mini oil refinery is exclusively designed and manufactured by IOR Energy Pty Ltd and can be customised to suit particular applications. It is ideally suited to provide a fuel supply in remote ot climatically harsh region anywhere in the world. Microstills™ have been installed in the Siberian Arctic, desert Australia and mountainous Papua-New Guinea, economically producing fuels for local use from local sources of crude oil.
A mini-refinery does not have the economy of scale of a traditional large scale refineries where the marginal cost of processing a barrel of crude oil is very low. Mini-refineries will generally find economic application in remote or inaccessible regions where local crude oils are available and where the price of refined fuels are high due to transportation costs. Microstill™ refineries have found application in Arctic, desert, jungle and mountainous regions where roads are poor or non-existent or inaccessible for certain times of the year. Not only are such regions typically harsh environments in which to operate a process facility, skilled labour, specialist contractors and technical support are also normally not readily available in such regions. Therefore simplicity of design, modular construction, intuitive plant operator interfaces and reliability of equipment are features built into every Microstill™ plant to ensure a successful mini refining operation.	2000 barrels per day Microstill™ refinery installed in Russian Siberia.
