John Bonnor

Starting in the fuel distribution business in the early 1970s, John through his own company South Coast Oils, became one of the first fuel independents operating in Queensland. After sucessfully building up a network of retail fuel outlets in south east Queensland, this business was sold. Seeing the opportunity to refine crude oil from the emerging oil discoveries in the Australian Cooper Basin, John then went on to become one of the co-founders of Inland Oil Refinery (Queensland) Pty Ltd that built and commissioned the Eromanga refinery in 1986 and controls a 50% interest in IOR.
